What is included in the bike rental price?
The rental price includes a helmet, bottle holder, lights, lock, pump, and a repair spray.
Do you offer half-day or hourly rentals?
We do not offer half-day or hourly rentals. All rentals are charged at a full-day rate.
You’re free to use the bike for as long as you like during the opening hours, but the price remains the same.
Do you offer discounts on bike rentals?
Yes, we do offer discounts depending on the rental duration and the number of bikes. Longer rentals and larger groups can get a better price.
How does the booking process work?
You can make a booking through our contact form, by email, or via WhatsApp.
Once you let us know your rental dates, your height, and the type of bike you need, we’ll confirm availability and pricing. Depending on the period (especially during high season), a deposit may be required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is paid at the start of the rental.
However, for bookings made close to the rental date, a deposit is usually not required.
What are the conditions for renting a bike?
The bicycle is not insured by default, and you are responsible for any damage or theft during the rental period. A damage insurance option can be purchased separately to cover new accidental damages.
Cycle The Coast is only responsible for normal wear and tear of parts such as tires, chain, sprockets, cables, and brake pads.
For any other damage, the repair costs are charged, or if repair is not possible, the purchase price of the part will be charged.
In case of theft, the full purchase price of the bicycle is charged.
The renter agrees not to leave the bicycle unattended at any time during the rental period. The bicycle must remain under the direct supervision of the renter at all times, even when locked. Failure to comply may result in the renter being held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage.
Upon return, our mechanic will inspect the bike. If any new damage is found and no insurance has been purchased, the cost must be paid immediately when returning the bike. In some cases the inspection will be done later or the following day, and any new damage will be charged via a payment link.
You are required to inform Cycle The Coast immediately in case of any fall or damage. The bike must always be checked by us so necessary parts can be replaced and the bike remains safe to use. If damage is not reported immediately, the full purchase price of the damaged part will be charged.
It is not allowed to modify the bikes yourself, except for adjusting the saddle height and changing pedals.
It is your responsibility to check that the bike is in good condition and complete before each ride.
What does the damage insurance cover?
We offer bike damage insurance for €15 per day per bike.
The insurance covers accidental damage to the rental bike during the rental period, including crash-related or other unexpected damage. It does not cover theft or loss of the bicycle, nor any damage caused while transporting the bike in your own vehicle.
The insurance is linked to a specific bicycle and cannot be transferred to another bike.
Any damage, no matter how small, must always be reported to us so we can keep all bikes in good condition for the next customer.
You can add the insurance when making your booking by selecting the insurance option in the booking form on our website.
How long is a rental day?
Opening hours: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
All collections and returns take place during opening hours at our location (Ulica kralja Zvonimira 32, Podstrana). Return can also be arranged outside of opening hours in advance, depending on availability. Delivery and pick-up also take place within our opening hours at agreed location.
On special request, you can collect your bike an evening before your rental starts, but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Please note: bikes must be returned by 8:00 PM on the final day of your reservation, unless otherwise agreed. A €20 late fee will apply for late returns.
Is delivery or pick-up included and how does it work?
The rental period starts on your first booked day and is counted from the day of collection to the day of return. This means that a one-day rental is counted as a full day from collection to return within the same day before closing time (unless agreed otherwise).
